Sure, I’ve dipped my toes in the tourist puddles – climbing the Great Wall of China, riding the hot air balloon in Cappadocia or taking selfies on top of the Victoria Peak in Hongkong. But I crave for wilder landscapes, and stories that are not etched in guidebooks, countries or cities that are not even in someone else’s bucket list.

Travel, for me, is a homecoming to a world where connections are forged in shared smiles and broken languages. Where lessons are learned not from lectures, but from the calloused hands of elders and the star-studded silence of remote deserts. It’s a constant dance between pushing my comfort zone and embracing the unexpected, a challenge to find the extraordinary beyond the tourist traps.

This is my ode to the unconventional, a celebration of the untamed corners of the world, and a testament to the transformative power of venturing beyond the boardroom and below the beaten path. 

And while it’s my lifelong dream is to quit my job and just travel the world there are benefits and permanence to keeping my day job.
